About the Instruction Manual

Most aspects of building and editing your artHIVES website should be self evident by the presence of onscreen prompts and instructions. This instruction manual is designed to compliment the general intuitive design of the artHIVES editing system. Advanced users may find little reason to consult this manual, however it is recommended that all users read the Troubleshooting section.

Your Profile

Changing your Password

Click the CHANGE YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD link in the YOUR PROFILE section of your back office. You will be asked to enter your current username and password and then your choice of a new password. Your new details will be automatically emailed to your in box.

 

Updating your Contact Details

It is important to keep your contact details up to date.

Click the UPDATE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS link in the YOUR PROFILE section of your back office. After changing any of the details, hit the update button, your changes will be recorded and you will be returned to the main page of your back office.

The fields marked with an asterix on the UPDATING YOUR CONTACT DETAILS page are compulsory fields. Information can be changed in these fields, but not removed.
 

 

Changing your Name or Alias

If you change your FIRST NAME, SURNAME, ALIAS FIRST NAME OR ALIAS SURNAME on the UPDATING YOUR CONTACT DETAILS page, this will also change the name that appears on the header of your website.

It is not mandatory to use the ALIAS FIRST NAME or ALIAS SURNAME fields, however a name entered in either ALIAS field will override the FIRST NAME and SURNAME, and the name entered in the ALIAS field/s will appear on the header of your website.
